Puzzle Nativity: Mom Feature

I've been making stuff, but the Thanksgiving holiday last week put me behind,
in addition to my sewing machine breaking and needing to go to the repair shop.
So in the mean time, I wanted to brag about my awesome mom who made these nativity puzzles for each family.

She has a pattern from the 1980s when she made one for our family growing up.
Pattern INfo:
Tole Temptations Pattern # 40-45439 by Nancy Farrow from Provo Craft Publications
Basically it's two pieces of 1x12 pine.  One layer you use a scroll saw to cut out all the shapes, then glue the barn frame to the backing piece of 1x12.
She stains the shapes then toll paints them all.

Each piece is 3/4" thick so they stand on their own for a tabletop nativity scene.

RJ has really loved this puzzle the last few days.

It's fun to use as a puzzle and to stack and play with the pieces.
It's nice that it can't break being wood hunks as well.

You can check out my mom's other huge stuffed nativity she made me last year:

Wow! That is really beautiful! Would love to find that pattern. My mother would love to have that at her house to keep the kids away from her nativity collection.

Oh my goodness... my dad made the same nativity so many years ago and your mom did a beautiful job painting each piece. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

That is really cute, and clever! I love the painting on each piece. =)
It is NO fun when a sewing machine breaks. I hope yours comes out all right, quickly and inexpensively. =)

My mom has this one too, except everything is the natural wood. It is beautiful, and we all love putting the puzzle together! Your mom did an awesome job!

Trying to get a hold of my mom for any info on the pattern. The natural wood versions sound really cool!

Wow, this is awesome. I would love a pattern, either to by or get for free. Everything looks so real, and yet it fits so great in the stable. I had to go and do a double take to figure out how it all fit together.
Thank you for sharing!

Super, super talented, your mother. Love that you almost can't even tell what it is until you pull the pieces out, and then it's a fun set to play with. Beautiful!

My mother-in-law has this same puzzle and I've been searching for the pattern! I can't seem to locate the actual pattern, do you have a copy of it? Or know where I can purchase it?
